Veronique Herminie is the former Commissioner General of the Seychelles Revenue Commission (1st October 2019 to 27th January 2023). She is presently the CEO of Taylor Smith Naval Services Limited and its group of subsidiaries since April 2023.
Mrs Herminie is a Certified Chartered Accountant and a Member of the ACCA since 2001 with a career spanning over 34 years, covering banking, auditing, taxation, management, and leadership in various economic sectors. Her professional journey in Tax Administration started as a Principal Auditor in July 2000 and she has progressed through the ranks taking over various managerial positions including Head of Customs in November 2005. In August 2006 she was appointed by the President as the Principal Secretary within the Government until July 2010 when she joined the GOS-UNDP-GEF Programme Coordination Unit in Seychelles as the Programme Coordinator, managing GEF-funded environmental projects.
In 2012, Mrs. Herminie moved to the private sector, spending 2 years as a consultant leading the Government-owned investment holding company, SSIL, and 7 years as the GM and later Deputy CEO of Green Island Construction Company, before moving back to taxation at the helm of SRC in 2019. Although back in the private sector, she is still involved with taxes through VHS Business Consultancy.
Mrs. Herminie was elected as the Chairperson of the ATAF Women in Tax Network in November 2023 and in October 2023 was appointed as a non-executive Director on the Board of ABSA Bank Seychelles. She is also a member of the African Women Leaders Network (Seychelles Chapter).
She is married and a mother of two young professionals.
